SlickStack servers are extremely stable and come with maintenance tasks built-in using the native Ubuntu cron jobs… things like resetting file permissions, deleting known malware files, and other things are automatic. Having your server crash is not so common these days with the high quality KVM cloud server networks that exist now, compared with 10-15 years ago on worse technologies. The only time your SlickStack server might crash is if you are using a really bad reputation cloud network or your site is getting DDOS’d or something. Cloudflare also helps with that a bit, and SlickStack also has built-in rate limiting and anti-brute force rules.
But at the end of the day if you don’t know how to run a few simple Bash or WP-CLI commands via SSH you might want to partner with an agency or freelancer who can help manage your SlickStack server… of course that increases costs but if you are running a successful online business you are probably not choosing SlickStack just because it’s free but because of all the performance and security and SEO signals that it comes with, the free and automated SSL certificates, and things like that.
