Brand awareness yah, but also just getting mentioned in the Reddit threads can help build your entity graph, esp with AI. Know Google Gemini and whatever other AI bots they are using have data sharing with Reddit so they are going to learn about your brand if it is mentioned in a certain context can really help to expand the brand’s knowledge/entity graph in Google’s knowledge base.

Reddit is so full of spam it’s nuts.

Some interesting thread, you come back 1-2 months later and the affiliate link spammers have paid people to edit their comments and replace the top voted comments with affiliate link spam and then you have the activists that black out their answers to protest the Reddit IPO and canceling their free API data so you are left with power tripping mods and spammers, like everywhere else

The thing about getting clicks from Reddit is it’s mostly snobby, jaded users just spying on you, they are not really “ready to buy” or open minded users who are looking for products or services. There are exceptions of course, but this has been true for a long time.

I think the only effective way to get converting traffic from Reddit is if you get your keyword-targeted thread to rank really high on Google for your target phrase, and your OP post is pretty much a sales pitch, and some of the comments are supportive. In other words, this is usually impossible on the popular subreddits, it relies on spamming low-traffic subs or creating your own subs and ranking your posts.

some good info, but I don’t think buying his “QApop” affiliate link is necessary, it’s not difficult at all to find or create you own useful questions on Quora, you really don’t need to buy an app for that

From my experience, Reddit usually brings more direct traffic clicks, especially when you share value in the right subreddits. People there click only when they truly find something helpful, so the traffic feels more engaged. Quora does send traffic too, but it’s slower and more long-term—great for building authority, not instant clicks.

When I tested both for client projects, Reddit gave faster results, while Quora helped with consistent visibility. If you want a balanced strategy, I mix both for clients at Tech Savy Crew, and it works amazingly well.
